Xylem Controls Engineer in Vadodara, India

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Simulate, analyze the specification to evaluate project requirements and design concepts.

  • Design and develop PLC/HMI software on Rockwell/Siemens as per functional description.

  • Design and develop panel schematics on CAD Electrical.

  • Follow the defined PLC/HMI software development process for development and testing.

  • Ensure timely task completion.

  • Communicate with project engineers, managers and Global teams to provide developed schematics and PLC/HMI software.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Excellent communication skills and extensive contact with global engineers and colleagues to ensure project success.

Must Have Competencies:

  • Expert in software development with different PLCs/SCADA/HMI.

  • Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000.

  • Experience with Factory Talk View ME/SE.

  • Good understanding of logic and different programming languages like Ladder, STL, FBD, and IL.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, field startups, and commissioning.

  • Knowledge of different communication protocols.

Good to Have Competencies:

  • Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal.

  • Knowledge of Schneider PLC and HMI.

  • AutoCAD Electrical skills.

  • Experience with remote Gateway devices like EWON / HMS etc.

  • Knowledge of VFDs.

  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering.

  • 3-5 years of PLC/HMI/SCADA software development experience.

This role requires effective management of tasks and priorities along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication in English is essential.
