Chris Preble from Robert Half Finance & Accounting has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a reputable company. This is a newly created role due to growth. In this role, you will be assisting with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Utica and there are really good benefits, a bonus and 401k match.

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  Requirements

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• Excel Formulas experience desired

• BA/BS in Accounting

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
