CONMED Corporation Senior Specialist Buyer/Planner in Utica, New York

This position is responsible for the placement and monitoring of purchase orders through receipt to meet demand as set forth by master production schedule (MPS) and managerial instruction. Key duties include proactively managing supplier risk to mitigate shortages of critical SKUs. You may participate in projects to drive operational excellence and cost savings. This is a remote position reporting to Utica, NY.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase order placement & maintenance including rescheduling delivery dates with suppliers.
  • Monitor purchase orders from purchase to receipt to promote on-time delivery, mitigate supply risk and proactively resolve constraints.
  • Negotiate business terms and conditions, including supply agreements.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders regarding product availability.
  • Interface regularly with supplier to proactively manage supply plan to meet demand, determine capacity constraints, and mitigate supply risks.
  • Actively monitor constraints with supplier and internal demand to assess potential trade-offs, prioritize high-risk SKUs and monitor health of supplier operations.
  • Regularly report to management and relevant stakeholders on status of backorders, high-priority SKUs, and planned supply mitigation strategy to ensure timely delivery of Company product.
  • Monitor relevant supplier KPIs and report to management for supplier assessments.
  • Work with international vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • 2+ years experience with ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Medical device experience
  • Multilingual (Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable)
  • Experience with SAP or Oracle
  • Keen attention to detail and timeliness
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with coordination of logistics and transportation

Disclosure as required byapplicablelaw, the annual salary range for this position is 60,000 to 95,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
