Indium Corporation Process Capability Technician in Utica, New York

JOB SUMMARY: The Process Capability Technician is responsible for processing customer-generated technical product specifications, driving the completion of internal and external customer inquiry responses, maintaining the customer requirements database(s), and supporting the Manufacturing Process Engineering staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Global Sales and Technical Support Teams for BPD inquiries related to manufacturing capability

• Review, approve, and revise customer-generated technical product specifications

• Coordinate with customer-facing teams to satisfy customer requirements while remaining within internal manufacturing capability limits

• Interface with the Manufacturing Process Engineering team to determine when a customer request should be processed as a Developmental Indium Part Number (DEV IPN)

• Review, update, and approve data and instructions maintained in the Customer Data Management (CDM) system

• Maintain the BPD Manufacturing Capabilities document, including conducting periodic cross-functional team meetings to determine necessary revisions

• Drive completion of all internal/external customer inquiries, with a focus on speed of execution

• Assist in the creation/modification of CAD technical drawings as needed

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma (or GED) and CAD/machining/manufacturing-focused professional certificate

or

• Associate-level or higher technical degree (focus on mechanical or manufacturing engineering technology preferred)

• Experience reading technical drawings

• Comprehensive understanding of GD&T

• Experience with SOLIDWORKS preferred

• Manufacturing experience preferred

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Basic personal computer skills

• Self-motivated

• Ability to work independently

SHIFT/SITE:

Monday-Friday/ 1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm/ 111 Business Park Drive, Utica,NY

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$17.50 per hour - $24.50 per hour

($36,500 - $51,000 annually)
