Netflix Software Engineer L5 - Full Stack Cloud Games Developer Tools in USA, United States

The Role

You may have seen the news that Netflix is getting into gaming; this is your chance to be a key part of it! We are a growing team building a cloud games platform that aims to bring Netflix games to our subscribers on a variety of devices beyond mobile phones.

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer specializing in identifying and building developer workflows and tooling who will serve as a key contributor to creating the suite of tools that make fast iteration and development of games for our platform a delight.

Responsibilities:

  • Help define, scope, and plan the development of game developer tools

  • Build new tools and integrate existing development tools to work with our platform

    Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-stack development experience

  • Experience with Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go language and React

  • Experience developing tools for developers

  • Experience working with game development and engines such as Unity and Unreal

    Nice to have:

  • Experience with the Electron framework

    Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000.

    Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
