Senior Director Business Development & Marketing is responsible for strategically leading the regional specialty business for Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) in North America (NA). As a member of the ANH Leadership Team for NA, you will ensure regional performance solution management and provide technical marketing. In this role, you define regional species strategies, solution marketing and develop impactful marketing communications. Come work closely with customer-facing teams across sub-regions and local markets in NA to drive the activation and execution of marketing plans and support the implementation of local strategies to grow the specialty business across NA. Your key responsibilities

  • Define and shape the regional specialty strategy for ANH in NA, in close alignment with global specialty strategy and regional business strategy

  • Translate the strategy into clear strategic initiatives and priorities per performance solution and species.

  • Work with sub-region directors, sales managers and technical managers to integrate and align local strategies under the common NA strategy and ensures regional strategic priorities are captured in clear activation plans for implementation.

  • Set the regional budget (short-term) for performance solutions in a way that is consistent with the regional strategic growth ambition for the specialty business. Secure delivery of the short term (Budget) and longer term (5-year plan) regional business targets (P&L based).

  • Steer the P&L performance of the specialty business across NA, ensuring that short-term targets are effectively cascaded down the organization and through regular performance assessment including triggering of corrective actions to close gaps.

  • Manage a team of marketing and product management managers

    This position is a US Home-based role. The position is ideally located in the eastern or central time zones of the United States. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary $180,000-$225,000.

    You bring

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing, product management and/or commercial roles required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing others directly, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage people in a diversity of locations

  • Change agility, ability to successfully manage change, conflict resolution and influencing skills along with strong customer centricity

  • Global work experience and/or high level of collaboration with global colleagues

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
