Position Summary:
Assists the Therapy staff with patient care. The therapy tech is responsible for the safety of patients while assisting the therapists with delegated tasks. They are responsible for correct timing of certain treatments and executing assigned routine treatments. They are also responsible for cleanliness of working area and equipment.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS H.S. Diploma/GED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, staff and referrers. Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form. PC, IPad and wearable device competency. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to quickly refocus on changing tasks. Skilled at prioritizing . Effective team player. Flexible hours as required for outpatient therapy environment. Competent with word, excel, power point.
Essential Functions:
Assists therapist with patient care - vitals, transfers, exercises, testing
Must be able to instruct and demonstrate exercises
Must be able to stand to exercise patient approximately 75% of working hours
Must be able to assist in transferring of patients
Must be able to document accurately treatment rendered
Cleaning and organizing duties
Light maintenance tasks
Assist with data management
Assist scheduling and insurance desk duties
Swim , Comfort in aquatic environment
