Urbana Country Club Seasonal New Golf Course Grow in Specialist Fall 2024 in Urbana, Illinois
As we wrap up construction of a new 9 million dollar golf course, the grass is starting to grow and we are seeking motivated individuals who enjoy working in an outdoor environment and take pride in their work completed. We offer flexible full time and part time schedules although working some weekend work may be required. No experience necessary although previous golf course/landscaping experience is beneficial. Must be reliable, willing to learn and be able to pass a drug screen.
Typical duties involve walk mowing, raking, shoveling, watering and other traditional landscaping and golf course maintenance activities. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and be prepared to work in various weather conditions. Assisting in the all the details of cleaning up the golf course to be ready for a May 2025 opening is key.
Requirements
A positive attitude, communicate well, coachable, and be reliable. Flexible scheduling is available most work shift are between 7:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. Full Time and Part Time work is available. Some assistance on the weekends my be requested if able. Weekend shifts are shorter
Benefits
Starting pay is $15.00- $20.00/hr (dependent on experience). Uniform shirts and golfing privileges are provided. Those individuals who perform well can secure their position for the 2025 golf season. Work can start immediately or in a few weeks if needed. We are finishing up a multi million dollar golf course renovation in the next 45-50 days with architect Drew Rogers and Wadsworth Construction. It's an exciting time to be at UCC. Overtime may be avaiblable
