Information Technology Partners
Job Summary
This position will work within the IT Partners application and data systems team to help develop requirements and project briefs, track project schedules and milestones, manage day-to-day project tracking, and communicate and coordinate with Gies stakeholders and IT Partners technical professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management for Application and Data Systems Development, Business Process Improvement, Data Initiatives, and Digital Communication Platforms
Help gather and develop project requirements and project briefs
Coordinate and participate in project meetings and retrospectives
Manage project and milestone tracking within project management software
Monitor and track project progress, scope changes, and requests for new development
Collaborate closely with Associate Director of IT Partners to plan new development and ensure projects are appropriately resourced and on schedule
Client and Team Communication
Facilitate day-to-day project communication with Gies clients and ITP development and data teams
Collaborate with Associate Director IT Partners to facilitate regular project updates and meet client needs
Report on project status and progress
Project Documentation
Ensure that all projects are properly documented and recorded in IT Partners tracking systems
Complete documentation for opening and closing new projects
Document new project requests
Specialty Factors
Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
Two (2) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience in project/program management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing technical or data systems projects
Project Management Professional certification or equivalent
Experience with project management software
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of standard project management processes and approaches
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thrives working with diverse clients and colleagues in a dynamic environment
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5010 - Business/Administrative Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search close date. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The budgeted salary range for the position is \$65,000 to \$70,000. Professional development and other advancement opportunities are also available. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
