    Position Summary:

    The Patient Care Manager will oversee the daily operations of a multidisciplinary team to provide quality, cost effective care effective care. Works in a Dyad Leadership structure with the Associate Medical Director for the following departments: Neurology, EEG, and Sleep Clinic.

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree, Nursing or

  • Master degree, Health related or

  • Experience in Lieu of Education - Neuroscience related field, including 5 years of management experience.

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License and

  • Life Support, Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and

  • Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of health care leadership fellowship or

  • One (1) year of supervisory experience

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of EMR and PC applications.

  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Budgetary experience in the management of fiscal data.

  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.

  • Analytical skills sufficient to gather and interpret data in a variety of situations, both routine and atypical.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team and customers verbally and in writing.

    Essential Functions:

  • Manages operations of CNI ambulatory clinics including Neurology, EEG, and Sleep Clinic

  • Ensures standards of care and quality of services are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Manages and oversees staff recruitment, staff training, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations

  • Leads and facilitates monthly provider and staff meetings in each of the clinics.

  • Serves as a liaison and Service Recovery expert for patients who have an issue or complaint

  • Determines fiscal requirements and prepares an annual budget for the department(s).

  • Monitors, verifies and reconciles expenditures and revenues.

  • Collaborates with internal resources to prepare and analyze financial proformas as needed.

  • Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.

  • Collaborate with director and nursing leadership to have clinical practice oversight of RN, MA staff

  • Collaborate with leadership, revenue cycle resources and SME groups

  • Supports PSR and prior authorization staff in accountable work flows

  • Collaboration with dyad group, provider, and staff groups to ensure quality outcomes

  • Promote safe, high quality care processes

  • Collaboration with regulatory, compliance, and infection prevention staff to ensure compliant operations

  • Communicate with leadership and staff to support work place engagement

  • Continually works to further CNI Employee Engagement actively and passively in a spirit of participative / authentic leadership.

  • Model and support staff delivery of best practice customer serviceCollaborates with internal and external parties to maintain, develop and advance program initiatives such as new service development/expansion, efficiency improvements, pain contract development, space modifications, move and upgrades, and new process deployment.
