The Senior Enrollment Coordinator trains and mentors all new staff along with training current staff on process changes. They will be primary back-up for the daily operations of the Enrollment Team. Is a key resource to the department regarding enrollment rules and policies. Responds to Enrollment inquiries timely and provides excellent customer service.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associates Related Field or equivalent experience in Enrollment or health insurance. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS None Specified EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three (3) years of experience in Enrollment, health insurance or managed care. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Ability to interpret, document and record information quickly and accurately. Ability to perform at a constant pace while completing multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines. Must have strong research abilities and willingness and ability to handle change. Microsoft office skills including Word and Excel are required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. The ability to take the initiative when problem solving.
Processes, records and issues new insurance policies. Modifies, updates and processes existing member policies to reflect any change in beneficiary, demographics, amount of coverage or type of insurance to ensure accurate billing to members. Calculates, enters and communicates premium information to members.
Reconciles regular internal and external reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of system information.
Serves as Subject Matter Expert for other departments regarding enrollment processes and procedures. Must maintain current awareness and understanding of CMS Medicare Marketing and Enrollment guidelines, Illinois Department of Insurance regulations and Federally Funded Marketplace guidelines.
Trains and mentors all new Enrollment staff.
Creates and maintains all department policies and procedures and learning guides.
Acts as a role model and supports management initiatives for the department.
