The State Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager, HVAC based at our Welch and Rushe Division in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.This opportunity will provide immediate once-in-a-lifetime career learning and growth, as well as future promotional opportunities for Mechanical Project Managers within The State Group. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • As a Senior Project Manager you will develop and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
  • Lead project teams, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration to achieve project goals. Efficiently allocate resources to optimize performance and monitor utilization. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project trajectory and quality standards.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor expenses, track budget performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage project milestones, identify delays, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project status.
  • Organize and maintain accurate project documentation for easy reference.
  • Cultivate positive client relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in project management, preferably in the mechanical engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Sage.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
