    What you’ll do as a Copper Splicing Foreman

  • Safely perform copper cable splicing, troubleshooting, and testing both aerial and underground

  • Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary

  • Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation

  • Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air

  • Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards

  • Splice copper cable for underground transfers and help with light laborer duties

  • Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records

  • Oversee and guide other onsite workers to ensure tasks are done safely and correctly

  • Other duties as assigned

    What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older

  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company

  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

  • Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card

  • At least four years of experience splicing, placing, and testing copper cables

    Additional qualifications

  • Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred

    Physical abilities & exposures

  • Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds

  • Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse

    Salary Range $ 28.00 - 38.00 / hr
