Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Upland, California, within the local government sector. In this role, you will be handling a variety of accounting responsibilities from processing purchase requests to managing vendor information. This role will require you to use your accounting skills and familiarity with software systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency in your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process purchase requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Maintain and update vendor information, ensuring all details are current and accurate

• Process timesheets and ensure their accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Handle customer service responsibilities, including answering phones and addressing inquiries

• Monitor and manage credit card statements for multiple people, ensuring all transactions are accurate and reconciled

• Use Accounting Software Systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various tasks

• Manage contracts, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are correct

• Use Tyler Technologies Munis for various accounting functions

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Requirements • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Local Government sector.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur software is a must.

• Comprehensive understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.

• Ability to perform various accounting functions is required.

• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Auditing skills are a necessity.

• Experience in handling Billing Functions is essential.

• Knowledge of Tyler Technologies Munis is a plus.
