Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) is currently seeking a Savings Plans Administration 401(k) Analyst reporting to the Manager of Savings Plans Administration. A successful candidate will play a key role on the team by working independently as well as working with our internal partners and external vendors.

Strong background in qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans administration with an ability to effectively engage with NGC professionals and vendors is desired. This position can be hired as a Level 2 or Level 3, depending upon the candidate's experience and education .

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in funding process and interact with internal reporting teams validating financial results

  • Perform research of employee concerns regarding historical data, legal documents, and transactions

  • Perform periodic technical peer reviews with internal and external partners

  • Effectively participate in administration projects and analyze analytical information

  • Evaluate quality of vendor services

  • Assist in the preparation and reviews of employee communications both internally and with vendors

  • Assist with performance of regulatory quality controls and provide support of annual financial audits

  • Engage in the claims and appeals process when applicable

  • Develop and maintain process and training documentation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2 - 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree;1 year with a Master’s (Appropriate combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)

  • Level 3 – 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s; 4 years with a Master’s degree (Appropriate combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)

  • Demonstrated understanding of 401K regulatory requirements with an ability to interact with legal, vendors and administrative teams

  • Proven ability to maintain high quality initiatives resulting in accurate plan administration and participant communication

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of applicable IRS regulations for defined contribution programs

  • Completion of Professional Benefits related designation exams

  • Previous experience working in a large public company emphasizing employee service

Salary Range: $65,500 - $98,300

Salary Range 2: $80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
