JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University is looking for a Financial Associate, Intermediate level, to provide comprehensive financial support to faculty and staff.

This position will report to the Administrative Manager and will perform most work activities in a systematic, complex, and deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. The desired individual will be a conscientious, detail oriented, organized professional with excellent communication skills and will be responsible for financial activities including, but not limited to the following:

Reconciliation of purchasing card transactions using SAP Concur

Process travel reimbursements, adhering to university policies and procedures

Process purchase orders and completion of confirming receipt of goods/services

Process Journal Entries

Process non-PO invoices

Prepare deposits and initiate JE

Provide general funds reports to faculty

Monitor budgets

Consult with Administrative Manager to address questions or concerns.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Education and Experience: This position requires a High School Diploma or higher plus 2 or more years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have:

Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing supportive and responsive service

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

A team player with a commitment to creating a positive and efficient working environment

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $38,300.00 - $55,500.00
