Job Description

Consult with our client's creative technologists and visual effects department to help develop technical specifications for visual effects movie deliverables from VFX vendors

Consult on technical details about 3D asset, file formats and metadata and 3D-related assets (on-set Lidar, photogrammetry, point clouds, real-time rendered formats, OBJ, FBX, USD, etc.)

Help with development of a 3D asset management system in regards to assets, metadata and file formats

Skills and Requirements

Thorough understanding of 3D assets and formats

Overall knowledge of modeling, rendering, animation, textures, lighting, materials, effects, rigs

Knowledge of Maya and/or Blender (Houdini is a plus)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of interchanging and re-use of 3D assets between applications and ecosystems

5 years of experience working at a VFX or Animation vendor Knowledge of the VFX production chain and experience in creating assets for visual effects

Knowledge of different renderers and their capabilities

Knowledge of Nuke compositing null
