As our Automation Engineer you will work within our Protein EMEA team and ensure we develop and optimize the PLC/HMI-software for the equipment in cooperation with colleagues. You will report to our Manager of Automation and Electrical Engineering and be based on-site in Livingston where your role will make sure that technical solutions are developed, with quality and according to standards. You'll manage the entire order process from inquiry to completion relating of technical documentation, focusing on continuous improvements. On a given day, you may: Collaborate with others, both internal and external, to ensure that the software designs meet the expectations and requirements of (internal and external) customers. Your role is to manage necessary order works for all current projects and ensure that the required electrical technical documentation is produced and valid. Perform technical sales support regarding scoping and budgeting during pre-order stage. Test and verify software during assembly and monitor commissioning at customer site. Perform continuous improvement of software and processes. Perform product care to make sure software and documentation is valid regarding current electrical design and regulations, ensuring that reported faults are handled. Participate in development projects or lead development projects. Requirements for the role Experience with PLC-programming in structured text (SCL) with Siemens TIA-portal together with Win CC & WinCC Unified. Electrical engineering knowledge for fault finding. Preferably knowledge in PLC-programming in ladder logic. Preferably knowledge with Allen Bradley Studio5000 or Omron CX-ONE. Preferably knowledge within PAScal or similar tools for PL calculations. Travel & Location You will be based on-site in Livingston. Occasional travel to customer or JBT sites around the world. Why work at JBT ...
