General Statement of Duties:

The Professional Banking Team Leader directs a dynamic group performing sales and service functions for commercial real estate and residential and mixed-use loan customers and property managers. Services include new accounts, cash management, merchant services referrals, and other business-related products. The Professional Bankers serve as a resource in the loan closing process for account opening, online banking and remote deposit set up, customer assistance and product presentation. They ensure that all accounts required by our loan conditions are properly established and maintained. These may include operating accounts, tenant lease security deposits, or direct debit accounts for mortgage and loan payments. The Professional Bankers routinely assist with service or maintenance needs on their clients savings or checking accounts. Through ongoing portfolio management, they build strong relationships with our valued real estate clients.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Leverage the Banks strong commercial real estate and residential and mixed-use lending programs to grow deposit portfolios and identify and refer cash management opportunities. Supervise the Professional Banking team to ensure maximum productivity and contribution to the Banks deposit growth strategies and goals. Responsible for the employee management process within the department, directing all relevant job positions within the team. Accountable for the financial performance of the Professional Banking team, client satisfaction, and adherence to Bank policies and procedures. The Team Leader will identify opportunities to expand the client portfolio by strategically targeting key real estate and property management businesses. Deepen client relationships through allied products and services such as cash management, online escrow, and insured deposits. In conjunction with their manager and other leadership, manage and coordinate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes. This includes regular budgeting, expense management, and production reviews. The team leader is responsible for establishing the work schedule, meeting times, managing day-to-day operations, and keeping members on track while ensuring that production goals are met. Lead by example, delegate effectively, and align team tasks with individual strengths. Acknowledge challenges, recommend professional development, and communicate clearly and consistently with their manager and team members. Monitor team performance; prepare written performance evaluations; coach, counsel, train, and motivate team to ensure organization, accountability and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience Seven + years of progressively responsible experience in the banking or financial industry, including two to five years in a supervisory or managerial position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Effective sales, marketing, prospecting and client service techniques, along with good verbal and written communications skills. Solid financial skills and exceptional attention to detail is crucial for this position. Knowledge of loan processing, documentation, closing, lending regulations, and administrative functions. Ability to establish a strong community presence and solid professional profile in the business community. Demonstrated effective time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and accomplish work assignments under required schedules. Ability to work well with business managers, loan officers, support staff, challenging customer situations, and problem accounts. Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
