Government Banking Sales Support Specialist

Description of Work:

Provide Sales & Operational Support for Departmental Relationship Managers and provide customer service for the Government Banking Department.

General Statement of Duties: Interact with GB Operations Supervisor and Relationship Managers to handle documentation dissemination and processing, proposal processing, cross selling, collateral and system information

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare Account Agreements and Forms, provide dual control review for New Account Open & Maintenance of Public Entity Customers, including submitting Account Submission Forms. Review daily CD reports to inform customer of maturities and advise of rates. Review Departmental Reports to verify submission and account details and perform maintenance as necessary. Communicate and assist customers with customer service requests, transaction requests, and information requests including collateral information, wires, transfers and other transaction approvals. Assist with cross selling products and providing product information to customers. Coordinate with other departments via email, eform or other means to respond to customer inquiries as required by departmental procedures and processes. Work closely with RMs to follow up on departmental mailings and preparation of sales packets. Provide back up and support to Administrative Assistant and Operations Supervisor as needed. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed, using Excel, PowerPoint and/or Word. Compile weekly and monthly management reports in conjunction with requests from the GB Operations Supervisor and Relationship Managers. May attend meetings outside the Bank as needed. Work closely with Relationship Managers to coordinate and oversee proposal responses and preparation with internal departments. Prepare departmental cash flow reports and communicate with customers regarding flows. Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

Perform other related functions and special projects as required by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work related experience. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior banking experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), and other banking systems. Strong communications, customer service and interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Must be detail oriented

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000

Hours: 37.50

This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if the hours worked are over 40 hours.

The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
