About our role
Newly created role – people leadership opportunity
Lead a team of up to 30 Casuals across multiple sites
Based at Ulverstone, North West Tasmania
We now have a new opportunity for a Team Leader / Storage Specialist to join our Ulverstone Agricultural Services team. In this dual role you will lead a Casual workforce who will store potatoes during the harvest season with Safety, Quality and timeliness in mind. In addition, you will be the Specialist who monitors the quality of raw material in stores to ensure they are fit for purpose for production. You will work across multiple sites to coordinate the movement of potato from stores to factory. An attractive salary is offered as well as company provided vehicle.
What you will do
As the Team Leader, lead, coach and mentor your teams conducting unloading and loading activities for the potato stores.
Design and implement plans for potato storage, store maintenance, site maintenance and equipment moving including supervising contractors and relevant stakeholders.
Travel between sites (Ulverstone, Wynard and, Sisters Creek) in the North West.
As the Storage Specialist, you’ll complete periodic checks on potato quality within the stores.
Provide samples to the Ulverstone Field Services for Quality assessment.
Contribute to other project teams.
Some weekend work is required.
About you
Experienced people-leader.
Solid safety focus.
Ideal if experienced in food handling / processing or raw material storage for the agricultural industry.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to use MS Office software packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
