Description and Requirements

Overview

As a Global Account Manager at Lenovo, you will be responsible for managing named global manufacturing accounts. You will work closely with high-profile clients, leveraging Lenovo's comprehensive product and service portfolio to meet their needs and drive business growth. This role requires a consultative selling approach, C level communication experience, a deep understanding of client business processes, the skill to lead global team members, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including international counterparts, product management, marketing, and service delivery, to develop tailored solutions for clients.

Account Management:

  • Monitor account performance, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and service level expectations.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance, opportunities for improvement and future collaboration plan.

  • Build, present, and execute on Account Plan Reviews (APR)

Consultative Selling:

  • Understand clients' business challenges and objectives, providing consultative advice and proposing effective solutions.

  • Present Lenovo’s product and service offerings in a compelling manner, demonstrating value and ROI.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C level stakeholders within assigned global accounts.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline reports.

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on account status, sales activities, and market conditions to senior management.

Basic Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the technology sector.

  • Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and achieving sales targets.

  • Native Japanese skill.

  • Business level English skill.

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

  • Experience in sales for manufacturing companies in Japan.
