What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources

  • Design systems, software and equipment layout

  • Design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development

  • Determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements

  • Develop test plans and preventative maintenance programs

  • Develop, implement, install, test, modify and/or operates complex equipment and systems

  • Effective creative application of technical competence within domain of expertise

  • Effectively participates on the engineering work team and supports other team members concerning experiment design, materials, equipment setup/maintenance and related issues

  • Establish work methodology and sequence to gather and organize data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of project

  • Formulate and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements

  • Gather and organize data for review with appropriate engineer(s) in support of project

  • Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system

  • Maintain records, compiles reports, graphs, charts and related data in support of projects

  • Make recommendations and coordinates and identifies resources required to meet defined project requirements

  • Participate in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segment

  • Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems

  • Prepare and coordinate the plans and schedules for new or existing programs

  • Provide technical expertise to customers, users or company personnel either at domestic or international field sites

  • Resolve proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters

  • Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects

  • Serve as technical support resource with a demonstrated level of narrowly focused technical competence within defined engineering discipline

  • Support and participate in negotiations with customer

  • Utilize defined resources to meet project requirements

  • Build productive internal/external working relationships

What you’ll need:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph is required at time of application

  • Experienced Level desktop support associate to work at a secure customer location and grow and develop.

  • Experience supporting Windows, Active Directory, and/or full motion video highly desired.

  • Considerable ability to perform all responsibilities associated with the position

  • Considerable professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

  • Considerable application of concepts and principles

  • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals

  • Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills

  • Demonstrate competent level of theoretical and practical knowledge within a defined engineering support discipline

  • Demonstrate considerable communications skills

  • Demonstrate creativity in resolving process and technical issues

  • Demonstrate narrowly focused in-depth technical level of practical operational process knowledge in a specific engineering area

  • Demonstrates technical competence in the setup, monitoring and documentation of experiments and/or lab equipment

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

  • Effective leadership for team members with less domain knowledge

  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

  • Frequent internal company and external contacts

  • Frequent use and considerable knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
