J&J Worldwide Services Heavy Equipment Operator in Tyndall AFB, Florida

Description

General Summary :

Must be proficient in operating various types of sizes of heavy equipment such as 15-ton dump trucks, 2.5 CD front end loaders, backhoes, bulldozers with attachments, excavators, tractor trailer combinations, water distributors, graders, compactors/rollers, farm tractors, grade-alls and 15 ton cranes.

This also includes hydraulic and lattice type cranes with attachments, rough terrain forklifts, and multi-purpose sweepers.

Perform all other duties, as assigned, to satisfy the operational requirements of the contract.

Authorities and Limitations of Authority

  • As determined by J&J Site Supervisor.

Job Requirement Mandatory: (Job Related experience, education, training skills, knowledge and abilities)

  • Minimum of five (5) year’s work experience operating heavy equipment, specified above.

  • Must possess and maintain valid Class A, Florida Driver's License with Air Brakes Endorsement.

  • Flight Line Driving Permit (to be obtained upon hiring)

  • National Agency Check Clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to competently perform operational responsibilities of position.

  • Team Player - ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand American English

Job Requirements Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Crane Operator's Certificate

Work Environment

  • Working conditions may be both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather conditions and other conditions determined by the nature of the job. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft surfaces, cement structures and surfaces at variable heights.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods.
