Job Description:

As the members of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ( ODEI ) staff, Program Development Specialists collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to cultivate a culture of inclusive excellence for all UT Dallas faculty, staff, students and visitors. They support the unit by coordinating event logistics and assisting with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and/or programs for the department.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Program Development Specialist I is responsible for planning and coordinating daily administrative, logistical, and operational activities and for supporting communications for their respective unit(s) within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field;

One (1) year of related experience, which may include relevant experience as a student employee in an academic or other professional setting.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Minimum two years of experience in positions related to institutional initiatives, especially as related to engagement and retention of students from marginalized identities; experience planning programs or events, preferably in higher education; experience supporting multimedia communications (e.g., video editing, social media, website management); knowledge of inclusive communications.
