The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's Youth Safety & Permanency Division’s Child Welfare Program currently has a vacancy for aTechnical Records Specialist 1inTwin Falls. This position provides technical records support to professional staff within the Department’s Child Welfare Program. This incumbent will need a special eye for attention to detail, be organized, self-motivated, with good customer service skills.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Gather information, make decisions, resolve problems, and respond to inquiries.
Utilize independent judgment and discretion as to the methods, policies, and procedures used to complete assignments.
Perform specialized support work that involves an extensive in-depth knowledge of the program.
Review, evaluate, approve, and process records and/or documents.
Explain requirements, processes, and procedures to customers.
Manipulate and update manual and/or computerized records systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
Experience interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. These complex decisions could have affected the social or economic well-being of others or would result in a service or action being denied. Typically gained by one year of work experience.
Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Typically gained by six months of work experience.
