Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will be accountable for all evidence relative to Private Marshall's Office operations in support of the installation. You will receive and properly mark, log, store, control, and properly dispose of all evidentiary items submitted by investigators, military and civilian police. You will make certain that all items of evidentiary material meet the legal requirements of custodial documentation. You will safeguard these items in the evidence repositories. You will utilize special handling and safety precautions in the collection and handling of weapons, vehicles, chemical agents, narcotics, explosive pyrotechnic material, and hazardous/biohazards materials, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining accountability and responsibility of all evidentiary items in the custody of evidence repositories (e.g. money, narcotics, jewelry, weapons, personal and government property, electronic equipment, documents classified or Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret), and other items of high monetary value or sensitivity; maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the evidence logs, custody documents, and final evidence disposition of files; identifying and obtaining the use of secure facilities for unusual items (i.e. ordnance, oversize or bulk item, etc.) GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Receiving and properly marking and recording logs; properly disposing of all evidentiary items submitted by investigators, military and civilian police; and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the evidence logs. In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on equivalent combination of education and experience, as follows: GS-07: One full year of graduate level education, or superior academic achievement. GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related, or A combination of education and experience as described above that equates to 1 year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to 100 percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education. See Required Documents for additional information. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.
