Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of the project development/execution team and responsible for hands-on engineering expertise in the development of a variety of electromechanical assemblies for government customers. The candidate will oversee a project and project schedule while working hands-on together with the R&D team on prototype builds, testing, and analysis.

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies with around 100-500 parts in SolidWorks and work closely with electrical and chemical engineers

• Follow Mil-Std requirements in the design process

• Create 2D drawings in SolidWorks and design for manufacturing

• Maintain organized SolidWorks part and assembly files, with experience with PDM preferred

• Serve as project manager for complete projects

• Maintain an up-to-date BOM for assemblies

• Lead prototype builds and work hands-on with the team

• Work directly with vendors and with the purchasing department to procure prototype components
