Description

A growing real estate company in OC is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their expanding team! This privately-held company has a portfolio of tens of thousands of rental homes in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities of role:

• Managing contract lifecycle in a comprehensive database

• Drafting, redlining, and negotiating commercial agreements [from templates] – they won’t often get brand new contracts they’ll need to interpret / analyze

• Integrating AI into contract management system (and potentially migrating contracts from one system to another)

• Interact with senior executive team

^ Pay is contingent upon fluency with these duties, years of experience, and stability on resume.

Details of role:

• Hours: Roughly 8am to 5pm. There could be some flexibility on start/end time, but should be general business hours. Minus certain busy seasons, crazy OT is not the norm.

• Hybrid: In the office Tuesday-Thursday and remote Monday and Friday. This is subject to change, and the company may up their days on-site to 4x/week soon.

• Parking: Provided free on-site.

Profile that would be a fit:

• Someone who has managed a large repository of contracts

• Someone confident in drafting and redlining basic agreements (NDAs, MSAs)

• Someone with decent stability on their resume, not a job-hopper.

• Someone decently pedigreed.

• Danny came from Alston & Bird and Sidley Austin, and prefers pedigree.

• Professional service mindset, do-it-all mentality (not someone who says “that is not in my job description”)

• Someone who believes in the benefits of AI and technology (not someone who fights it) and ideally, has worked with AI systems as it relates to contracts before.

• If someone has used LawVu before – their contracts and litigation management system – bonus points!

  Requirements

• 4+ years as a contracts manager (drafting/redlining and managing a database) but the more experience, the better

• Tech-savvy - ideally have implemented/migrated contracts into/from a database before or using AI in contracts is super helpful

• Real estate experience is helpful, but not required
