We're Hiring! State Technical Trainee Equipment Mechanic

Starting Salary: $27,820.80 - $45,556.80

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT- Completion of 10th Grade

• This is a limited tenure job in the State service.
• This is introductory, specialized work in a technical activity of state government.
• Employees in this class serve an apprenticeship under the supervision of senior employees in the State service.
• Assignments are in skilled and/or trades areas such as traffic signal repair work, equipment mechanic work, and communications repair work.
• Work is performed under the close supervision of an administrative and/or technical superior who assigns projects, gives preliminary instructions, and reviews work in process and upon completion for quality and adherence to established standards.
• No employment register is maintained.
• Vacancies are filled by direct appointment by various departments across the State.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S) Based on the job class being underfilled, individuals will be required to meet specified educational requirements in order to qualify for appointment.
