The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Technical Training Consultant in the Information Services Division. This position is located in Tumwater, Washington and is not union-represented. This recruitment announcement may be used to fill multiple open positions for the same classification, in addition to the position(s) listed in this announcement. The Information Services Division (ISD) provides support and consulting for legal technologies. The division is responsible for the development and delivery of AGO computer and telephone network infrastructure and the operation of network hardware and software platforms to provide AGO staff access to their work products and communications. This division has multiple units that provide eDiscovery litigation support, custom software development, business intelligence and data management services. Data security and disaster recovery are key to the maintenance and operations of the AGO's voice and data systems. The division also ensures compliance with state governance policies and standards, and ensures that all electronic services function properly and securely. Duties The AGO is looking for the right individual to aid in fully utilizing current and future technologies as a Technology Learning Specialist. The best candidate will demonstrate a combination of experience and knowledge to anticipate learning opportunities from projects and support ticket analysis to develop content specifically crafted for AGO needs. This position will join the Business Technology Services Team that leads agency projects, supports conferencing and electronic discovery tools, and provides legal research technologies. This position follows general direction from the Business Technology Services Manager to provide technology learning services and develop technical training content for AGO staff across the state. This position will: * Identify learning needs from staff, service desk ticket analysis and new projects, then develop learning plans and content from a large number of resources. * Develop IT training courses and blended learning programs for supported technology, including desktop applications, Intranet-based programs, mobile devices and security. * Manage vendor relationships to ensure procured solutions are supported by learning and support documentation. * Participate in projects from planning through execution to ensure best methods are employed to maximize learning opportunities. * Collaborate on learning opportunities with the Human Resources' Training Unit, various AGO Committees, Division Chiefs and leads. The ideal candidate for this high-visibility role will be a team player who will help the AGO deliver legal services better, faster, and less expensively, through optimized work processes and better use of existing and new technologies. Qualifications Option 1: A bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, computer science, adult education or related field plus five years of experience creating or maintaining technology training or eLearning resources Option 2: A combination of education and experience that includes knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the assigned duties of the position. The best-qualified candidate will have legal or law firm experience, at least three years of experience delivering remote training in a law firm or professional services environment, knowledge of legal industry-specific software, experience with basic video and audio editing, and experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Presenter and Storyline.
