Job Description About the Role The Production Lead is responsible for the supporting of the operation of assigned production department in a profitable and efficient manner through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment, and space. Is responsible for supporting the coordinating all activities within his scope of control and for setting priorities necessary to accomplish predetermined goals. Supports the attainment of goals as set forth by management and supervision Coordinates activities of hourly employees performing various production operations Supports and demonstrates compliance with all rules, programs and procedures Responsible for on-the-job training of co-workers, including Instructing new or reassigned co-workers in the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Responsible for coordinating available labor within an assigned department and making suggestions to supervision on the appropriate levels and reassignment of labor Observes production operation within area of control to ascertain compliance with safety, quality, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment; keeps in constant communication with on-shift supervision and management and takes or recommends appropriate action to eliminate any deviations. Assists with identifying and resolving issues that are causing potential issues with safety, quality, scrap and production downtime. Models all plant safety and accident prevention policies. Provides swift coaching to other team members with regard to safety related topics. Reports unsafe conditions and/or coaching discussions to supervision immediately as well as takes immediate corrective action to resolve them. Encourages and maintains housekeeping of work areas by all team members, provides guidance on specific areas of opportunity to be addressed by team members Performs all other duties as assigned $28.00-32.00 hourly; based on experience About You High School Diploma or GED Three (3) years or more experience in a manufacturing environment, similar industry preferred Experience leading people on a shift, project, or similar Forklift certified, or willingness to become certified Must be willing to work any shift OurExpectations We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
