Education: BS in chemistry with lab experience preferred or AS in chemistry with two years chemical lab experience. Contact Information EQTJOBS@CH2O.COM Description: The Lab Analyst 2 performs various functions to ensure that manufactured products meet required quality standards. This position requires an intermediate understanding of lab protocol and safety techniques. Is primarily responsible for analytical testing of samples, manufacture of analytical reagents, and quality control testing of products. Responsibilities: • Trained in and able to perform Lab Analyst 1 duties. • Safely handle and work with chemicals, many of which are hazardous. • Manufactures analytical reagents in accordance with work instructions and bill of materials. • Performs customer service/order entry duties in ERP software for lab items. • Performs routine quality control, water sample and deposit analysis. • Routinely calibrates and uses analytical instrumentation. • Maintains pertinent ISO, quality, and ERP system records. • Effectively communicates. • Performs basic waste testing and management. • Ensure that safety standards and cleanliness of laboratory are maintained and perform general lab housekeeping and upkeep. • Performs various water treatment sample tests and processing of outsourced water treatment samples. • Assist in processing and shipping customer orders. • Assist in maintaining stock levels of packaging raw materials in the lab. • Perform all duties and tasks in accordance with ISO 9001 and CH2O Quality Plan. Requirements: • The job of a quality control analyst is a sensitive one that directly affects quality and makes it vital to have the ability to always maintain integrity and honesty; must also possess the ability to communicate with transparency to peers and supervisors. • Must have a drive to continuously improve processes for improved performance. • Must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Willing and able to learn through observation and hands on experience. • Possess intermediate algebra, chemistry and computer skills. • Require an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Must be detail oriented and able to follow directions. • Able to distinguish color and odor. • Able to lift 30 pounds on an infrequent basis.
