Job Title: Vessel Welder
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Vessel Welders with MIG and flux welding skills to join our team on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 5am-3:30pm. This position requires passing a Code Vessel test: 6G sch 40 6” pipe MIG root flux fill cap 45 degree.
Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Set up components for welding according to specifications, such as cutting material with powered saws to match measurements.
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and pipe welding.
Ability to pass the Code Vessel test: 6G sch 40 6” pipe MIG root flux fill cap 45 degree.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with operating angle grinders and other welding preparation tools.
Ability to align components accurately using calipers and rulers.
Capability to work in various welding positions, such as vertical, horizontal, or overhead.
Experience in repairing machinery through welding.

This position is based in a fabrication shop that is not climate controlled. The work environment involves working with various welding equipment and tools.
