Honeywell Sr Advanced CAD Specialist - Gas Processing Systems in Tulsa, Oklahoma

As a Senior Advanced CAD Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of CAD design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your proficiency in CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively oversee the design process and ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical solutions.

You will report directly to our team lead and you’ll work out of our Tulsa, OK location on a hybrid schedule.

The role of an Sr Advanced CAD Specialist is to work closely with sales, process and structural engineers to develop cost effective layouts and designs for Gas processing equipment in a timely manner. Products include vessels, stacks, piping, and associated support steel.

Designer must have experience including solid modeling of parts and assemblies. Preferred experience of parametric modeling using CADWorx.

Ideal candidate will also have practical knowledge of the equipment, applicable local and international codes such as ASME, as well as basic working knowledge of carbon and stainless metallurgy and fabrication techniques used for the equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of related customer specifications and standards required for design work.

  • Value engineering of system layout and design to reduce complexity and cost.

  • Design and development of 3D models using mark-ups, layouts, sketches and design information from process and structural engineering to generate fabrication drawings.

  • Manage budgeted hours and schedule for assigned work.

  • Coordinate a team of designers to successful completion of a project.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • 4+ years of experience in CAD design and engineering • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and industry best practices • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
