The team you will be a part of
The Training and Development team develops, implements and evaluates employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines such as management development, talent management, succession planning, technical or nontechnical training, or e-learning | Monitors employee development and training programs, assesses needs and results, develops new programs and modifies existing programs.
This role in summary
Reporting to the North American Region (NAR) Technical Training Leader, the Sr. Analyst- Training and Development is responsible for all phases of the learning design and delivery process for hourly employees while supporting salary development as planned within the Manufacturing Training Area (MTA). This position will be responsible for analyzing training needs, execution of training, and measuring the effectiveness of the training solutions. This position also will assist with training coordination and technical writing of manufacturing-related documentation.
Your responsibilities will include
Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and work readiness for hourly new hires.
Participate in a site-wide apprentice program by partnering with relevant internal stakeholders and external resources to identify needs and assess the overall performance of the program to drive continuous improvement opportunities.
Assist in leading the certification and management of internal trainers needed for hourly associate development and work readiness utilizing the 4 steps of the training method.
Conduct training needs assessment for hourly associates by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
Monitor and Manage costs associated with training activities inside the MTA.
Support the Human Error Committee to identify and eliminate human error losses through proper understanding of human nature and implementation of sustainable countermeasures.
Designs site standards and operational documentation and provide training solution through needs assessment and validation of job cover matrices
Work collaboratively with People Development pillar for various initiatives of Competency development, Human Error management etc.
Oversee training based on job-specific, site-specific, and software application-specific classes.
Assess learner and system needs and the optimal learning methods for those needs.
Design, develop, and deliver systems training program content and instructional tools, including computer-based resources.
Technical Writing: Develop Standard Operating Policies (SOPs), work instructions, and other documentation.
Report training metrics related to systems training, such as satisfaction, completion rates, learner retention.
Monitor and continuously improve the effectiveness of training programs and resources.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of experience in Manufacturing including 1+ years of experience supervising or leading a team
Preferred skills and experiences
3 + years of experience with design, development, and delivery of training programs including training needs analysis, training evaluation, and instructor evaluation
Experience with learning management system software applications and/or on-line training programs
Demonstrable ability to develop and implement training plans for onboarding of new hires
Ability to deliver information in a group setting both orally and written
Experience with learning management systems and related training and quality evaluation tools
Strong verbal and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment
Strong analytical, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced, changing operational environment.
Proficient in Google Suite Platform including Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Documents
