As SEC Consultant, you’ll provide guidance and expertise as you engage in the more critical and complex aspects of SEC reporting. You will handle diverse and highly complex assignments which require you to stay informed on ever changing accounting and disclosure requirements. The ability to communicate and influence all levels of the organization, handle multiple priorities and assignments using experience innovation, independent judgement and decision making and excel in complex problem solving are keys to success.

Analyzes information which requires a high level of seasoned technical knowledge, SEC reporting processes, business acumen and judgment
Serves as an internal expert, technical leader and resource for stakeholders
Assists with training and development of team members
Reviews, recommends and provides leadership regarding process improvements for financial reporting and compliance requirements
Represents the department in discussions and plans effecting the preparation of documents and disclosures for various filings and analysis related to SEC filings and compliance standards
Performs high level reviews of financial statements and disclosures, including those in more critical areas of SEC reporting

Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related with a strong accounting focus and a minimum of ten (10) years’ SEC reporting experience
Preferred: Master’s degree, MBA or CPA
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
Midstream energy industry experience
Demonstrates ability to transfer skills and knowledge in a collaborative work environment
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization
Preferred: Process improvement experience in accounting or finance
General Compensation Information:
This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual performance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
