As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of machined parts and assemblies. Your responsibilities will include employing a range of advanced inspection methods and instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, air gauges, radius gauges, calipers, and CMM machines for both in-process and final inspections. This involves executing layouts and setups on a surface plate, ranging from simple to moderate complexity. You will take charge of initiating non-conformance records for any parts that do not meet stringent requirements and conduct First Article Inspections adhering to AS9102 standards along with company/contractual specifications. In this dynamic role, you will constantly seek ways to enhance inspection effectiveness and efficiency, actively identifying and supporting the implementation of process improvements. Building positive and effective working relationships with colleagues is crucial in this collaborative environment, bridging both office and shop floor responsibilities. While the role involves exposure to shop conditions, it is notable that exposure to excessive noise, hazards, or adverse environmental conditions like extreme heat or cold is minimal.
