Key Responsibilities
CNC Machining: Operate and set up CNC milling and turning machines to produce complex parts and components with high precision, adhering to blueprints and technical drawings.
Manual Machining: Utilize manual lathes, mills, and grinders for machining operations, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
Tooling and Fixtures: Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest level of part quality.
Inspection: Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and finishes.
Program Setup & Editing: Set up CNC programs and make edits as necessary to meet specific job requirements and ensure efficient operation.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure machines are running at optimal performance.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong background in both CNC and manual machining.
Skills: Proficient with CNC programming (G-code, M-code), setup, and operation of CNC machines (vertical mills, lathes, etc.) as well as manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Tools & Equipment: Skilled in using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
Software: Experience with CNC software (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) and the ability to make program adjustments as needed.
Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address machining challenges and equipment issues.
