Responsibilities

Looking for a self-motivated individual that can create a plan of work and follow it through to completion while working collaboratively with Ascension Technologies and our clinical partners. This person is adaptable, has strong collaboration skills, able to influence others, presents with positivity, and is well spoken. The Oklahoma Clinical Informatics team supports 6 Ascension St. John hospitals and the patient care that is provided. We spend our days supporting current technology workflows, identifying technology problems, determining how to optimize technology, participating in national or local patient care initiatives that need technology workflows and helping clinicians adopt technology.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with clinical leaders, associates and physicians.

• Learn the technology workflows being used.

• Facilitate the optimization of existing technology or implementation of new technology

• Help clinicians “probe the problem” and submit successful requests

• Facilitate or participate in governance committees

• Recruit clinicians for national and local work groups

• Propose changes to technology design

• Partner with technology analysts to implement new technology or optimize existing

• Promote the adoption of technology workflows to optimize patient safety and experience

• Design and deliver training materials to educate users about technologies.

• Participate in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing and communicating clinical information.

• Support the onboarding of new associates, providers and locations.

• Ensure information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Work Schedule:

• Locations: Typically spend 3 or more days scheduled on site at one of our hospitals.

• Occasional weekend, evenings or nights required to support technology implementations and adoption efforts for clinicians. These are planned in advance as a team.

• Remote on-call schedule required to support having someone available for outages and urgent clinical support.

Requirements

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Education:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a clinical related environment preferred

• Change management experience preferred

• Project management or process improvement experience preferred

• Established foundation using an EHR and related technologies

Skills:

• Can establish trust and build strong relationships with clinicians, leadership and partners

• Able to communicate with various levels of users within the organization - Can probe the problem using analysis and active listening

• Ability to assess a person's workflow or process and replicate

• Ability to document clearly and concisely for communications and workflows

• Willing and able to learn new EHR and technology applications and workflows

• Ability to identify and document a problem that displays the importance and relevance for the health system
