AIG Claims Examiner in Tulsa, Oklahoma

AIG Warranty is excited to be seeking candidates to fill newly created full-time 40-hour per week positions with our Warranty Business Line. This is a fast-paced modern call center environment, with NO cold calling or collections; while being a fun, friendly, and collaborative team. The work is important to AIG and to our very important customers, and serving our customers to the best of our ability is this position’s number one task.

As a leader in the Warranty field, AIG is a company that is diverse in services to customers, opportunities for candidates, learning advancements for employees, and employees who help promote a culture of inclusion. AIG’s greatest assets are all the employees from diverse backgrounds. While increasing innovation, employees have opportunities to show us how to better understand each other and our clients. Can you see yourself in such an environment?

The Claims Examiner Team

AIG partners with companies that sell or manufacture appliances (like washers and dryers), electronics (like televisions), and personal computers (like laptops) and provide extended warranty insurance plans on their products. If something breaks, the customers call us. We work to determine if the issue is covered under their warranty, and if so, send a Service Provider to repair their product.

Team Operation Plan:

A project begins with a product failure and the customer calls Warranty for assistance. The Customer Service Representative takes the customer’s call and prepares the customer’s information needed to start their claim (the project). Then, the Claims Examiner Team takes over the project, working with the Dispatch team (who sets up the Service Providers all around the country to repair the products for the Customers), the Service Providers, and the Customer to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and appropriately. You, as the Claims Examiner, will have your own projects, but you will also work with other Claims Examiners as a team assisting all Customers and Service Providers. The Claims Examiner Team always strives to provide excellent service with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Details of the Claims Examiner Role

The Claims Examiners work directly with the Service Providers and the Customers to ensure that each project moves forward with the needed support. Claims Examiners are responsible for receiving incoming calls and emails from Service Providers needing authorization for repairs for major appliances and consumer electronics. They also research part availability, and ensure pricing and quotes submitted are in line with industry standards. The Claims Examiners verify that failure and repairs are covered under the terms and conditions prior to authorizing the Service Providers to proceed with the project.

As a contributor at AIG, Claims Examiners are the ones our clients turn to in times of need. They act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems and the work they do every day is the heart of AIG’s business.

Specific Duties of the Claims Examiners:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails from service providers seeking repair authorizations.

  • Ask the right questions about the claim, evaluating each request to determine if AIG should repair or replace the product.
