Job Title: Accountant III

Job Description

Job responsibilities include: Invoice creation per contractual language, creating journal entries, wire requests, account reconciliations, preparation of government reports, customer support, audit requests, maintain deferred revenue schedules, monthly and quarterly analysis, contract reviews, and other ad hoc requests or projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete analysis to support certain accruals and estimates.

  • Analyze fluctuations in revenues and volumes as part of the close process.

  • Perform revenue & expense accounting functions.

  • Provide contract analysis support.

  • Assist in management and regulatory related reporting.

  • Complete special projects and ad hoc requests.

  • Understand and prepare account reconciliations.

  • Support accounting information requirements for management and staff.

  • Analyze and report on changes in operating results and business activities.

  • Provide support for financial statement documentation and related audits.

  • Assist in the preparation of various quarterly and annual reports to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

  • Establish and maintain relationships with individuals and/or other departments as needed to resolve accounting issues and questions.

  • Communicate with internal and external customers.

Hard Skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proficient in written and oral communication

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficient in Excel and other PC applications

  • Preferred proficiency with Microsoft Power Tools

  • Understanding of accounting procedures in conformance with Contracts, GAAP and Regulatory standards

  • Aptitude for understanding complex processes and computerized accounting systems

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

This is a fully on-site position in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
