Harnish Group Inc. Lab Technician I - LABTE003975-00001 in Tukwila, Washington

 

Laboratory Technicians perform tests on various oil samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. Laboratory Technicians work within a team environment to manage the processing of over 200 samples per day. You will prepare and organize lab equipment/facilities and perform a variety of diagnostic test. Additionally, Laboratory Technicians ensure sample processing is completed correctly and monitor the laboratory supplies needed as well as drive efficiency within the group.

Responsibilities: Sample preparation for used oil. Analytical method include ICP, GC, Viscometer, and FTIR. Analyze oil samples for Elemental analysis, Oil condition and contamination. Proper management of waste generated as a result of procedures. Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis. Performs basic analysis of oil and coolant samples following prescribed procedures. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred 2+ years of lab work experience and understanding of wet chemistry preferred Proficiency in Windows based applications required.
