Hiring Range: \$16.54 - \$19.43 Per Hour

Full Range: \$16.54 - \$22.33 Per Hour

The Warehouse Supply Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the organization\'s warehouse facility. This role involves tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, materials, and equipment following established procedures. Under supervision, the incumbent will perform basic warehouse duties, including receiving shipments, picking orders, and maintaining inventory records. The Warehouse Supply Technician I contributes to maintaining a safe and organized work environment and demonstrates a commitment to teamwork and professionalism. Some positions may perform duties in law enforcement or corrections environments and may include daily contact with inmates.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains reorder point records for and reorders supplies when minimum balance is reached;

  • Receives, unloads and stocks supplies, materials, property, and equipment;

  • Operates equipment such as a forklift, hand and push trucks, roller conveyer, ladders and pallet jacks;

  • Lifts and removes heavy boxes and items from shelves and bins;

  • Accepts and verifies receiving documents against shipments received and purchase orders;

  • Posts items received to inventory with use of computer;

  • Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver materials and supplies;

  • Fills supply requisitions and documents items placed and/or missing;

  • Inventories stock supply items;

  • Makes simple mathematical calculations;

  • Maintains vending machine stock to include inventory, stocking and ordering vending items;

  • Collects funds from vending and other coin machines, counts and balances money against sold quantities, completes deposit slips and other documentation;

  • May assist in training, monitoring and general supervision of inmates assigned to work in the unit;

  • May perform minor maintenance on vending machines and change machines by fixing jams;

  • May take custody of inmate property and documents receipt of property transactions.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) Certificate or equivalent AND six months of stocking, receiving and/or inventorying experience.
