Robert Half has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of an innovative company, as a permanent Staff Accountant. This position is ideal for those who driven by a challenging work environment with many components. This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Based in the Milpitas, California area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

What you get to do every day

• Processing AP/AR, and assisting with Account reconciliation, pulling reports and coordinating information for accounting/finance divisions

• Assist in data entry of Journal Entries

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  Requirements

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work well with others, and positive demeanor

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
