Job Description:
Our Sr. Principal Software Quality Engineer uses and applies extensive advanced software quality practices, principles, theories, concepts and techniques associated with the evaluation of software, firmware and configurable logic development for embedded multi-processor systems, and test systems.
Provides solutions to complex technical software quality problems using established quality practices. Works as a self-starter. Follows and recommends changes to department processes and procedures.
Reviews software products and processes for compliance to contract requirements, software directives and reviews work practices for adequacy. Provides guidance both to project staff and department senior staff. Guides the successful completion of program quality assessments and may function in a software quality leadership role. Interacts with senior product development and test personnel through both written and verbal communication.
Conducts and documents reviews of engineering materials related to the design and release of software artifacts. Supports development of advanced software quality measurements and influences the successful completion of supported programs and projects. Develops and negotiates quality requirements and support for projects.

Modeling and Simulation software
Supplier software
Qualifications you must have:
B.S. in one of the following: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Management Systems.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Must have practical experience using high order programming languages in an embedded setting
Minimum of 10 years in the industry
Experience in the following:
software development processes; firmware development processes and/or configurable logic development process
conducting software quality assessments of software products and artifacts
Qualifications we value:

Ability to define and review quality requirements for project bids and proposals
Technical Leader of small teams
Strong team-player
Possess the ability to serve as an organizational spokesperson to Senior Product Line personnel
Ability to coordinate with product and functional teams
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Product development in a DoD environment
Practical experience with static analysis tools
Familiarity with Agile, continuous integration and DevSecOps paradigms
Experience using CORE/Six Sigma practices to continuously improve software systems created to meet the Quality Management System requirements based on AS9100 and AS9115 software supplement
Practical experience of Guidance, Navigation, Radar and Discrimination systems and associated algorithms is highly desired
Verification & Validation experience in activities related to embedded multiprocessor design
