Schedule: Monday – Friday | First Shift: 6 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Type: Full-time | Consultant (10-Month Contract, Potential for Hire)

Are you passionate about precision and ensuring the highest level of accuracy in measurement and calibration? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Metrology Technician to play a critical role in maintaining, calibrating, and certifying Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Your work will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with national standards, supporting a wide range of industries that rely on precise measurement tools.

What You'll Be Doing

• Calibrate and certify TMDE traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

• Utilize certified laboratory standards to perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, and adjustments.

• Maintain and repair linear dimensional hand tools and other related equipment .

• Work with commercial, manufacturer, and military calibration procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot and resolve measurement issues .

• Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation.

What You Bring to the Team

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a metrology or calibration role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures precisely.

• Strong math skills , particularly in algebra.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field.

• 4 years of direct experience or 1 year with technical training .

• Experience with Indysoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal is a plus.

• Familiarity with hand tools and their usage.

• Customer service experience is a plus.

Pay Details: $23.54 per hour
