Children's Clinics Financial Associate in Tucson, Arizona
Children’s Clinics is seeking a Full-Time Financial Associate!
This position is responsible for:
Ensures claims submissions and resubmissions are clean and timely
Working through Claim Edits and Rejections within E.H.R. and Clearinghouse accordingly
Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services
Enters data from invoices to the accounts payable module. Review, code, verify, and sort invoices for processing in compliance with company’s policies and procedures, and issue checks
Tracks expenses, perform monthly reconciliations, issue reports, and maintain the vendor accounts
Assists with month end closing entries, track credit card receipts, and assist with annual accounting audits
Prepares and post Explanation of Benefits, payments and adjustments
Performs other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in healthcare or managed care environment required
Experience:
- Two or more years healthcare or managed care systems experience required
Licenses and Certificates:
- None required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand billing software and electronic medical records
Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting procedures, and internal controls.
Understand insurance policies, coverage, and claim submission requirements
Knowledge of Coding Systems: ICD-10 and CPT
Ability to analyze complex information, identify discrepancies, post electronic remittances and resolve billing issues effectively.
Skill in computer applications such as Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient data
Fingerprint Clearance:
- Employees are required to maintain a current Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Proof of a current fingerprint clearance card must be received within 90 days of employment.
