The Short & Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) Sub-Strategic Business Unit within Raytheon’s Land & Air Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit has an opening for a Senior Finance Manager to lead the strategic Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) contract. The cost-plus NGSRI contract was competitively awarded to Raytheon as one of two prime contractors to develop a replacement missile for the aging Stinger missile for the US Army, US Marine Corp, and potentially other US Forces and international customers. This phase of the program is to design, develop, and test a prototype solider-portable surface to air missile and win the competitive down-select for future production contracts.

This role will be on-site in Tucson, AZ and will be responsible for all financial aspects of the contract, including financial oversight to program execution including Earned Value management with external reporting, performing quarterly Estimates at Complete, financial forecasting and coordinating the annual operating plan and long range plan, overseeing NGSRI related investments, ensuring the required business cadence is met to support the Program Director and Manager oversee the contract and secure a competitive win. This role will manage 3 finance professionals and will interface with the NGSRI Program Office, CAMs, IPT leads, SMGBAD Leadership Team, & external Customers.

This role is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Cultivate financial performance through excellent partnerships and trust across functions on a highly visible franchise program for Raytheon

  • Provide proactive leadership to ensure alignment regarding strategic, operating, and financial objectives

  • Interface with members of the internal and external customer leadership teams

  • Manage, develop and lead a high performing team

  • Oversee CDRL and customer financial reports

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field & a minimum 10 years prior relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree and 7 years experience

  • Experience with Estimates at Completion (EACs)

  • Experience as a previous manager (i.e. guiding, managing, developing analyst(s))

  • Experience in APEX and PRISM, EDIT+, and/or other related program implementation resources

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking

  • Sound critical thinking, problem identification, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead teams to success and develop talent

  • Experience in program proposal program, negotiations, milestone payment plans

  • Experience with government contracting, DoD or Aerospace

  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Broad understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
