Spectrum Plastics Master Extrusion Tech in Tucson, Arizona
JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for meeting the extrusion production schedule and for producing product that meets established product quality standards and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Set up, monitor, and operate silicone extrusion equipment, troubleshooting to meet output goals
Interpret diagrams, requirements and blueprints to set up machines and evaluate products
Document usage, productivity and supply information, as well as problems
Assist with daily manufacturing operations in manufacturing facility
Upholds Xeridiem vision and core values
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Required:
High School diploma or its equivalent and minimum of 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing field
Ability to problem solve, identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with general guidance
Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions
Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
Proficient computer skills
Proficient communications skills
Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Moderate physical activity with the majority of time spent standing and working on manufacturing line where protective clothing is required. Position requires flexible hours and ability to work around chemicals.
